The next Friday Night Social will take place Friday August 15th and the theme will be Night Golf (also known as Glow-in-the-Dark Golf).
Play 9 holes by the light of the moon, tiki torches and glow sticks! This is one of the Club’s most popular events and you won’t want to miss it!! Everyone is welcome!

Mark your calendars now so you don’t miss out on the annual Men’s/Ladies/Seniors Club Championships scheduled to take place Saturday and Sunday August 23rd and 24th. After the Saturday round there will be a BBQ and social and after the Sunday round awards will be presented. This event is open to all members, full and weekday.
Get your A-game ready and plan to be there!
Join us this Friday July 18th for our Friday Night Social. The theme will be “Christmas in July” and you’ll get to enjoy all the fixin’s of a Christmas turkey dinner following your round of golf.
It’s a 5:30 pm shotgun. Please sign up in the Clubhouse.
Saturday July 12th was the Orchard Beach Open and a field of 52 players took to the course at 1pm. Approximately half-way through the round a thunderstorm rolled through and the players had to mark their balls and seek shelter, but the storm soon passed and play resumed.
The day was capped off with a fabulous dinner and the presentation of the prizes. A fun time was had by all despite the weather.

The Fescue Cup was held last Saturday and Sunday July 5th and 6th. Twelve men qualified to represent Orchard Beach Golf Club in a friendly competition against a men’s team from Heritage Hills Golf Club in Barrie.
On Saturday the tournament was hosted by Heritage Hills and on Sunday they were the guests of Orchard Beach. They played a mixed format with a two-man scramble on the front nine and stroke play on the back nine.
Unfortunately the Heritage Hills team took a strong lead the first day and the OB team wasn’t able to close the gap on Sunday, losing the two-day competition 23-14.
All in all the weather was fantastic and everybody enjoyed the opportunity to play some competitive golf and meet a some great guys.

Tickets are still available for the Orchard Beach Open being held this coming Saturday, July 12th.
This event is open to men and women, members and non-members. We hope to attract everyone who loves a challenge in the game of golf.
Beautiful engraved crystal will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Low Gross and Low Net in stroke play for both Men and Ladies. There will also be passes to a beautiful Ontario golf course awarded for Closest-To-The-Pin and Longest Drive for both Men and Ladies.
You’ll also have the chance to win a car courtesy of Newmarket Hyundai for a Hole-In-One!
Registration begins at 12 pm, with a shotgun start at 1 pm.
The cost for this event is $100.00 for non-members, $70.00 for members ($55 if you have your own cart).
Your entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, riding cart, prime rib dinner, a crystal keepsake and a Greenfees Passport book for everyone, and automatic entry into the on-course competitions.

On Sunday June 29th, 38 members participated in the Memorial Tournament, the annual event where we pay our respects to our friends and members who are no longer with us.
The round seemed almost to go too quickly but, with the turn in the weather to rain and cooler temperatures, the clubhouse was a welcome sight. A lovely roast beef dinner with salads was prepared and the meal was capped off with some hot apple pie.

OBGCC juniors & guests, come out and enjoy some friendly competition with other juniors at Orchard Beach Golf Club. Each week you will enjoy a lesson with CPGA professional Corey Helm, a fun format for golf, dinner and prizes. Over the course of the season we will play various events and formats and you will be accumulating points for you chance to be crowned the inaugural OBGCC Junior League Champion!
